Portfolio Observatory

Terms of Use

Last updated: 14 June 2026

By using Portfolio Observatory you agree to these terms. Please read the disclaimers carefully — they describe important limits on what this product is and is not.

What the service is

Portfolio Observatory is a personal, manual record-keeping tool for listed stocks and ETFs across markets and currencies. You record completed purchases and sales yourself, and the app calculates holdings, realized and unrealized performance, FX impact, income, and allocation for your own reference.

Not financial, investment, or tax advice

Nothing in Portfolio Observatory is financial, investment, accounting, or tax advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security. Calculations are provided for informational purposes only and may contain errors. You are responsible for verifying figures and for your own decisions. Consult a licensed professional for advice specific to your situation.

No trading and no order execution

The app does not place trades, connect to brokerage accounts, connect wallets, or move money. Actions labelled “record purchase” and “record sale” add entries to your private ledger only — they never execute or transmit an order.

Market data

Market data is provided by third parties, may be delayed, and may be inaccurate or unavailable. Quote freshness and timing are shown alongside values. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any market data.

Your responsibilities

  • Keep your account credentials secure.
  • Ensure the transactions you record are accurate.
  • Use the app only for lawful, personal record-keeping.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and we may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Portfolio Observatory is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on calculations, market data, or availability.

Contact

Questions about these terms can be directed to the support contact published in the app’s App Store listing and on your account settings page.
